This weekend is the British Grand Prix and I am a very big Formula 1 fan. I tried and failed to draw various things on my nails free hand but it was all a disaster. The timing of this coincided with my new Bundle Monster 2012 plates arriving. Whilst glancing through the new designs I found a checkered design which I think looks like the design on a checkered flag.
I have owned Barry M Gold Foil for a while but I have never painted my nails with it. I always use it for detail in my nail art such as stamping or outlining. Today I was thinking about an animal print manicure. I chose to have a statement nail rather than making all of my nails animal print.
I firstly decided that my statement nail would be really bold with a pink or blue base colour but as I was looking through my polishes I found a Nails Inc Gold Glitter called Chelsea Embankment. I painted my nail with just one coat of this and it gave really good coverage. Continue reading
I had a big sort out last weekend of all of my nail polishes. Whilst doing my sort out I found this lovely colour. It is called Apricot Punch by Rimmel. It is one of the 60 second dry range and I bought it over a year ago because it matched the colour of a dress that I was going to wear. I tend to stick to brands that I love [Barry M and Nails Inc being my faves] but this is a really nice polish.I had seen this website do a bow manicure. I used Mash Nails Stamping White to paint the corner of each nail. I used Mash Nails Stamping Black to draw on the bow detail. Continue reading
I have recently purchased some China Glaze nail polishes and prepare yourselves for the blog posts over the next few days. I cannot wait to try them all out and see how they look. The first colour I purchased is called Entourage. It is quite a sheer polish and I painted my nails with two coats. It has a slight shimmer to it.I couldn’t leave my nails plain so I thought I would try a stamp I have not yes used. I chose BM 211 because it had two different designs that I thought I could use together. Continue reading
The final Mash Nails nail polish that I am reviewing is called Silver Glitter. This is a stamping polish which should give a glittery effect. I started off by painting my nails white. I used the Mash Nails White that I reviewed in this post. I used stamping plate BM 218 and I applied the Silver Glitter to the stamping plate, scraped off and I noticed that it looked like all of the silver had vanished. I stamped onto my black nail and it could barely be seen. I tried again with a different stamp outline but again it would not show up. I painted my nails four different colours but each time the stamp did not clearly show up. Instead what I did notice about the silver glitter is that it is a lovely polish so I decided to see if I could still use it in a normal manicure without stamping with it. Continue reading
