Has everyone heard about Barry M’s new nail art products?! They are releasing four different coloured nail art pens and I am going to preview them for you over the next few days.

Barry M says that these pens have an extra fine tip and easy grip bottle which means you can design with ease. Simply shake the bottle well before use and pump the tip until the colour starts to flow.
I painted my nails using Grapefruit Gelly and I made this heart patch design. For the first use, shake the pen very well and on paper it took about a minute of pumping the pen for the colour to arrive at the tip. Once this had happened the nail art pen was ready to use.

The first tip I would recommend from using these pens is make sure your base coat is bone dry. I tried to do nail art whilst the nail wasn’t quite ready and it moved the polish underneath. Secondly I would aim for thin coats of polish on your nails as when I used the pens on a thicker coat, even though it was dry it affected the polish. Finally use the nail art pen like any ordinary pen rather than a brush and be quite firm.
I have to say I love the two nail art pens I have tried so far. I often use brushes and tooth picks for nail art which is so fiddly. This could finally be the solution I have been waiting for!
The nail art pens are available in Black, White, Silver & Pink and the retail Price is £4.99. Launch dates: Superdrug April 10th & Boots April 17th.
