I bought a matte top coat a few days ago and I thought I would see what other nail art I could try. I have seen some really fab nail art by other bloggers including this fab matte/gloss black manicure by The Nailasauras. 

After painting my nails with two coats of black I had a bit of a play with my matte top coat. On my thumb I painted the matte coat on diagonally. For my index finger I painted it all with the matte top coat. My middle finger I left the black coat as it was and I dotted matte top coat using a fat dotting tool so the glossy base shone through.

On my ring finger I painted a thick stripe down the middle and used a tiny dotting tool to add matte dots either side of the stripe.On my little finger I painted it with a matte coat and then used a fat dotting tool again but this time to add a glossy top coat dots over the top.

I think I need to be a bit neater next time and really think about my design before going wild. I was just so excited to use it and try it out!
