This morning the Athletics began at the London 2012 Olympics. Yesterday was an amazing day for Team GB bringing our Gold medal tally to five. I decided to honour this achievement by making a gold (medal) caviar manicure.
I painted each nail with Barry M Gold Foil and then used the caviar beads I purchased from ebay. This time I painted my nail with a nail adhesive rather than just using a layer of wet polish. The adhesive is the type that you can use to add nail art gems to your nails. It is quite thick like PVA. I poured the beads on and got a better coverage.
I also found that once dry the beads didn’t fall off in quite a dramatic fashion as the last time I tried this manicure so I think I have got a method which is a bit more durable!
I’m keeping all of my gold fingers crossed for many more gold in the athletics over the next couple of days!
Base Colour: Barry M Gold Foil
Caviar Beads: Ebay seller in China
Which adhesive did you end up using? I know what you mean about the beads falling right off when you use polish to secure them.
It was one I got free with a nail art set but a bit like pva. The same cheap ones you find on ebay for about 99p x
