London 2012 Olympics Nail Art

In about an hour the London 2012 Olympic Games Opening Ceremony begins! I have been a bit bored of the Olympics, the torch going around the country for what felt like two years but this week Olympic fever has crept up on me. Tonight I am really excited about seeing the opening ceremony and cannot wait to see how Team GB do during the Olympics. I have had a busy week and only sat down this evening to think about my nails and here are my Olympic themed nails!Olympics London 2012 Nail Art by Nailtart.com

I bought some glitter about two months ago and I haven’t gotten around to using it. Mostly because of the mess I knew it would make. To do my red white and blue tips I used a nail adhesive and painted it across my tips. I then dipped each of my nails into a small jar of glitter. Unfortunately some of the glitter stuck to my nail which I thought was dry. Despite dusting at it and even wiping it with moisturiser, on my blue tip nail some of the glitter wouldn’t budge. I unsuccessfully tried painting over it with white but it is still visible. The lesson I have learned, ensure your polish is bone dry before using glitter!

My rings I did with a dotting tool and when the top row was dry I dotted the centre with white. I thought that would be easier and neater than trying to draw them free hand. Has anyone else attempted their own Olympic nails?Olympics London 2012 Nail Art by Nailtart.com
