Models Own Pink and Gold Spot Nail Art

I ordered four new Models Own polishes and they arrived this week. This is the first chance I have had to paint my nails using them. I managed to use three of my new polishes in this manicure. Models Own Pink Blush, Purple Poppy & Goldfinger Spot Nail Art by Nailtart.com

I used Purple Poppy and Pink Blush and alternated each nail that I painted. I used two coats of each to get a very solid colour. This polish went on really nicely and is quite opaque.  Continue reading

Models Own Hed Kandi Ibiza Mix Glitter Tips

I recently bought Models Own Hed Kandi Ibiza Mix and have only used it once so far. A waste I think you will agree! My previous manicure I painted my nails pink and applied the glitter on top.  Today I chose this grey metallic colour by Barry M. Models Own Hed Kandi Ibiza Mix Glitter Tips by Nailtart.com Instead of painting the whole nail with the glitter I lightly painted the top third to begin with and layered the glitter on top of each coat. I then slowly dabbed a little down the nail so it went to just past the centre.  Continue reading

Barry M Gold Foil Cheetah Print Nail Art

I have owned Barry M Gold Foil for a while but I have never painted my nails with it. I always use it for detail in my nail art such as stamping or outlining. Today I was thinking about an animal print manicure. I chose to have a statement nail rather than making all of my nails animal print.Gold Cheetah Nail Art using Barry M Gold Foil by Nailtart.com

I firstly decided that my statement nail would be really bold with a pink or blue base colour but as I was looking through my polishes I found a Nails Inc Gold Glitter called Chelsea Embankment. I painted my nail with just one coat of this and it gave really good coverage.  Continue reading

Coral Bow Nail Art

I had a big sort out last weekend of all of my nail polishes. Whilst doing my sort out I found this lovely colour. It is called Apricot Punch by Rimmel. It is one of the 60 second dry range and I bought it over a year ago because it matched the colour of a dress that I was going to wear. I tend to stick to brands that I love [Barry M and Nails Inc being my faves] but this is a really nice polish.Coral Bow Manicure by Nailtart.comI had seen this website do a bow manicure. I used Mash Nails Stamping White to paint the corner of each nail. I used Mash Nails Stamping Black to draw on the bow detail.   Continue reading

China Glaze Moody Blue Vintage Rose Nail Art Tutorial

After painting my nails with spots and stripes in this post earlier this week I started thinking about other vintage designs I could do with my nails. I was searching the internet when I came across this nail tutorial which showed how to paint a vintage rose design. I thought I would give it a try. Here is my finished design and I have tried to take a picture of each step to show how I did it.China Glaze Moody Blue Vintage Rose nail art by Nailtart.comStep 1. Paint your nails with a base colour. I chose China Glaze Moody Blue. The colour reminds me of background that Cath Kidston uses on a lot of material so I thought this would be a really good colour. This polish is very thin and I had to paint four thin coats to get the colour shown in the pictures.  Continue reading

China Glaze Entourage Nail Art

I have recently purchased some China Glaze nail polishes and prepare yourselves for the blog posts over the next few days. I cannot wait to try them all out and see how they look. The first colour I purchased is called Entourage. It is quite a sheer polish and I painted my nails with two coats. It has a slight shimmer to it.China Glaze Entourage by Nailtart.comI couldn’t leave my nails plain so I thought I would try a stamp I have not yes used. I chose BM 211 because it had two different designs that I thought I could use together.   Continue reading

Aqua Daisy Right Eye Blue

I bought my first indie nail polish a couple of weeks ago from America. The brand is Aqua Daisy and I bought it from Etsy. This polish is called Right Eye Blue, the seller also makes a red glitter version called Left Eye Red and you can get the whole set with a pair of 3D glasses. This is my first jelly polish. I love the fact that some glitter looks further up on the nail and some looks sunken.Aqua Daisy Right Eye Blue by Nailtart.comWhat I love about this polish is the liquid is a very dark blue so you do not need to paint this over another polish colour.
